How To Help
Construction of a 40′ prototype Tipi is well underway on the T.R.E.A.T.Y. School Ranch and will serve as the first T.R.E.A.T.Y. Total Immersion School. The lightweight structure can be easily assembled with plumbing and other fixtures easily installed within the completed shell.
The shell is comprised of a high-strength composite insulation panel with vision glass panels at window locations. The initial prototype is a 40-foot diameter design with a loft element that sits on a full basement. It includes a kitchen, living space, sleeping and bath facilities. Units can be tied to septic, sewer or composting toilet systems, with water service by municipal system or well.
Tipis can be powered by conventional electric service, wind energy or portable generator.
We have not yet projected the savings from multiple fabrication of units, but expect the savings to be considerable. Costs for multiple units depend on number of units ordered. We will have firm estimates of the unit cost once prototypical systems are fully designed for the prototype, which is in process now. We intend to perform extensive market research once the prototype has been completed, and will specifically target hurricane, typhoon and cyclone areas of the world.

Faculty will be hired and sent to the University of Auckland (New Zealand) to learn and be trained on the Maori Model of Total Immersion Education in September – October 2009. We welcome both cash and in-kind donations in order to complete these projects.
The T.R.E.A.T.Y. School is also seeking volunteers. Those wishing to volunteer with the T.R.E.A.T.Y. School are asked to fill out the Volunteer Form, available below, and to return the completed form to email@example.com.
The main needs for the school fall into the following categories
-On-Site Ranch and Farm Support
-Skilled Carpentry, Electrical & Plumbing
-Administrative/Logistics, Outreach & Fundraising
-Web and Admin support
Currently T.R.E.A.T.Y. School operates on a strictly volunteer basis, with some possibilities for internships for scholarly credit available upon request.
